Few things instantly evoke powerful memories of summer and can put a smile on your face quite as quickly as the thought of a big tray of freshly sliced and juicy watermelon. I mean, seriously, just think about it for a moment… you can almost taste it, can’t you?
The watermelon is a reminder that this month is the month to enjoy summer coolers to the maximum level, so why not enjoy this summer heat with some easy to make watermelon scoops!
INGREDIENTS REQUIRED :
In addition to water, watermelon fruit is also a good source of electrolytes which help you to stay hydrated and replace the minerals that are lost when you sweat. The sorbet requires; one cup sugar syrup, one cup water, 6 scoops of watermelon, 2 tablespoon of lemon juice.
How to make it :
- Process watermelon chunks in a jar and crush it to a medium smooth mixture.
- Add lemon juice to the mixture and pour the mixture in a bowl and let it freeze for at least 8 hours.
- Check the consistency in between, the sorbet should be easy to scoop out.
- Garnish with fresh mint leaves.
This sorbet is loaded with Vitamin C & A and acts as a potent diuretic.
